Chapter Reading: Genesis 1 | Verse of the Day: 2 Peter 1:21
Podcast: Walking with God | Series: Introduction to Biblical Worldview | Episode Title: Episode 6 — “Creation: The Origin of Everything” | Episode Verse: 2 Peter 1:21
Ever noticed how origin stories define everything? Batman had a dark alley. Spider-Man had a spider bite. Your worldview starts the same way—with a story about how everything began.
And the Bible doesn’t start with a question. It starts with a God.
“For no prophecy was ever made by the will of man, but men being moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” — 2 Peter 1:21
Genesis 1 isn’t poetry. It’s power. It declares that this world isn’t a cosmic accident—it’s the intentional artwork of a speaking, creating, personal God.
Creation tells us who we are: image-bearers, not carbon collisions. It tells us where we live: a designed world, not a random rock. And most importantly, it tells us who God is—a sovereign King, not a spectator.
2 Peter 1 reminds us that these aren’t just religious ideas—they’re revealed truth. Scripture is breathed out by God through human voices, including the very first line:
“In the beginning, God created…”
That truth doesn’t just explain where you came from. It shapes where you’re going.
Application
- Take five minutes today to read Genesis 1 out loud—slowly.
- Write down one thing that strikes you about God as Creator.
- Look for evidence of His design in something ordinary: a sunset, a fingerprint, a laugh.

Closing Prayer
Creator God, thank You for speaking the world—and my life—into being. Help me see this day as a masterpiece designed by You.
You were made on purpose, with purpose, by a God who never makes mistakes. Walk like it.
