Join us this Mother's Day at City Church as we delve into the profound significance of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, a cornerstone of our faith. Our journey begins with a heartfelt reflection on City Church's role in my and my wife's transition to Port Aransas, highlighting the impactful Colson Fellows program. We'll then revisit the events of Resurrection Sunday, setting the stage for exploring three key themes from the Ascension narrative: Jesus' greeting of "Peace," His role as the Cloud Rider, and the importance of the Great Commission.

We'll reflect on the meaning of "shalom," encompassing completeness and harmony with God, others, ourselves, and creation, and how Jesus' use of "peace" extends beyond calmness to a more profound spiritual well-being. As we consider Jesus' declaration of authority before the Sanhedrin and His exaltation and enthronement, we'll understand the theological depth of the Ascension and its implications for His ongoing role as our High Priest and the promise of His return.

Finally, we'll answer the pressing question of "Now what?" by focusing on the Great Commission, where Jesus empowers us to spread the Gospel, beginning in Jerusalem and extending to all nations.
