Chapter Reading: Psalm 23 | Verse of the Day: Psalm 23:4
The valley isn’t a punishment. It’s a passage. And if you’re walking through one today, take comfort in this: you’re not the first. And you’re not alone.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me…” — Psalm 23:4
Christian journeys through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, with cliffs on one side and horrors on the other. The path narrows. The light fades. He trembles—but he doesn’t stop.
Because someone walks with him.
Psalm 23 doesn’t promise we’ll avoid valleys. It promises presence in them. The Shepherd doesn’t hand you a map and wish you luck—He walks every mile with you.
If your journey is dark today, don’t rush through it. Don’t deny it. Just remember: shadows can’t exist without light. And the Light walks beside you.
Application
- Reflect on a valley you’ve been through. How did God walk with you there?

Jesus, I trust You in the dark. Walk with me through the valley—and help me fear no evil.
